The Queensland Cricketers' Club, Brisbane, is a unique reception venue, combining the old world ambience of an exclusive club with a more modern and relaxed approach. The traditional polished timber, crisp linen and crystal glassware still remain, lending an aura of elegance and refinement to your wedding reception. While our service standard is extremely high our staff are friendly and approachable.
  
Wedding Reception Facilities
The Wisden Room is the ultimate venue in private dining, catering for exclusive dinners and cocktail parties in a traditional atmosphere. A maximum of 60 guests can be seated for a dinner/dance wedding reception, a maximum of 100 guests is recommended for a cocktail style function.
The Main Viewing Room refers to the main Club area and incorporated the timber clad Openers Bar and Sir Donald Bradman memorabilia wall. A maximum of 180 guests may be seated for a dinner/dance wedding reception, a maximum of 400 is recommended for a cocktail style function.
We are delighted to offer our wedding clients the complimentary use of a lectern, radio microphones, in-house sound system for background music (you are welcome to provide your personal music selection), clothed and skirted gift table, cake table and silver cake knife.
Complimentary off-street parking is available for up to 100 cars for guests attending private functions at the Queensland Cricketers' Club. The Members' Car Park is located on the corner of Main and Vulture Streets, the Players and Officials Car Park is located on Vulture Street, opposite Gate 5.
Catering Packages
Catering packages for wedding receptions at the Queensland Cricketers' Club are designed to meet the individual requirements of each couple and their families. Our experienced staff will assist to design the most appropriate menu, program, decoration and beverage package for your situation. The Queensland Cricketers' Club is commited to being available for Member use on all match days played at The Gabba. Between the AFL and the cricket schedules there are approximately 15 weekend days each year when private function bookings are not available.
While the Queensland Cricketers' Club is happy to accept tentative bookings, availability cannot be confirmed until a final AFL or cricket schedule is received. This is generally in November (for AFL games March - September the following year) and June (for cricket matches October - March).
While these restrictions make it difficult to confirm a wedding reception date in advance - it is good news for those planning reception in less than 12 months - our facilities are likely to be available when other wedding reception venues are booked out! Wedding Ceremonies At The Gabba (Brisbane Cricket Ground)
Imagine walking a red carpet to be married on the same surface where your sporting heroes play, your guests looking down from the Club's tiered seating.
A fee of $550 applies and includes the hire of red carpet and clthed and skirted registry table. (Please note that access to the Gabba ground is considered a privilege and permission must be granted. When granted, access to the ground is limited to the bridal party, celebrant and photographer).
