Visitors and guests are welcome in the Club. However, access is governed by certain rules. During normal Club opening hours and on match days guests must be signed in by their Member host. Visitors with reciprocal member rights must also sign in to the Club. Visitors and Guests must have a valid seat ticket on match days. Visitors and guests may arrange and attend private functions within the Club without the need to be signed in by a Member. In these circumstances gaming facilities are not available. Visitors and guests are required to respect and abide by Club policies regarding dress regulations and suitable behaviour within the Club. Location The Queensalnd Cricketers' Club is located only 3 kilometres from the CBD, via the South East Freeway & taking the Vulture Street exit. Club entrance and reception is via the ramp walkway from Vulture Street (opposite the German Club). The Club has a unique and special location on Level 3 of the Northern Stand overlooking the famous "Gabba" International Cricket Ground. Dress Regulations A high standard of smart casual clothing is required for both ladies and gentlemen within the Club and children should dress to a similar standard. A minimum dress standard of smart casual, collared shirt, covered shoes and socks is required at all times. Non-Acceptable Items: NO BLUE DENIM FABRIC of any form including, jeans, jackets, skirts, dresses, overalls or vests. NO sports shoes of any form such as joggers, track shoes, tennis shoes and runners. NO thongs, dilapidated footwear, scuffs, moccasins, gumboots or slippers. NO torn or ripped clothing NO T-shirts or singlets. NO T-shirts for children in the Club. NO hats, caps or any other headwear may be worn within the Club (unless part of national or religious dress). Shorts are only allowed if they are tailored dress shorts worn to the knee and men MUST wear knee length socks. NO clothing displaying racist or offensive messages. LADIES - NO bikini tops, tank tops, singlets, halter tops or bare midriff tops are to be worn in the Club (restrictions to not apply to ladies' eveningwear). Car Parking Complimentary car parking is available in the Members' Car Park, located on the corner of Main and Vulture Streets. Space in this car park is limited. For larger functions a second car park located opposite Gate 5 on Vulture Street may be available. Please discuss your car parking requirements with your function co-ordinator. Street parking is available in Vulture Street and surrounding areas. However, a 2-hour limit applies to "on-street" parking on week-days and street parking in the entire "Gabba" precinct is highly regulated on game days. Facilities for Persons With Disabilities Ramp access to the Club entrance is via Vulture Street. Suitable bathroom facilities are available within the Club. On game days a seating area on the window overlooking the ground is reserved for patrons in wheelchairs or unable to negotiate steps in the seating area. Seating in this area must be pre-booked. Please contact the Club in advance of the game if seating in this area is required. A number of PWD designated car spaces are available. Please contact the Club to arrange access to this facility. Children Children under 18 year of age are not permitted in or near the bar of the Gaming area of the Club under any circumstances. Children under 18 years of age MUST BE under the direct supervision and control of an adult at all times whilst within the area controlled by the Club, including the outside seating area. Parents or Guardians should ensure that appropriate behavioural standards for children are observed at all times. Liquor & Food The bringing of alcohol and food into the Club is strictly prohibited. This includes soft beverages, themos flasks, drinking or serving vessels (e.g. teapots and cups) or any other container. Should a guests have specific requirements through medical reasons he/she is asked to contact the Club to make arrangements prior to the day in question. Any food or drinks will be confisgated at the door and returned on leaving the Club. Other items not allowed to be brought ino the Club include eskies, folding chairs of any form, flares or fireworks, knives or other items that could potentially be used as a weapon, whistles or plastic horns, drink carriers (cup holders), poles in excess of 1 metre in length, professional video cameras (By Order Management - Brisbane Cricket Ground and QCC). Bringing of Alcohol into the Brisbane Cricket Ground is an offense. Any person caught attempting to do so via the Club may be subject to a substantial fine. Trading Hours Administration: Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm Normal Club Trading: Monday to Tuesday 11.00am - 5.00pm, Wednesday - Friday 11.00am - 11.00pm Game Days: Trading hours vary according to game schedules. Club Services & Facilities Main Viewing Area & Openers Bar This is the Members' viewing lounge and is central to the Club's viewing of the Gabba ground for both cricket and AFL matches. It is a fully equipped island bar which services the Members' area and the Sir Donald Bradman Room restaurant. Light, bright and innovative snacks are available from this fantastic area with the "Million Dollar View". The Main Viewing Room and Openers Bar are available for hire as a private function venue an all non-match days. Sir Donald Bradman Room An excellent and innovative a la carte menu prepared by our Executive Chef, Bernard Sadler, together with an extensive wine list to complement any meal awaits your dining pleasure within this very special room. The restaurant is open for lunch Monday to Friday and for dinner Wednesday to Friday (subject to availability). Wisden Club Lounge The Wisden Club Lounge is the ultimate in privacy and executive elegance. The room is for the exclusive use of Wisden Club Members on match days but may be hired for private functions on all other days of the year. Gaming Area A limited number of poker machines is available to Members and bone fide visitors. Gaming facilities are not available for use during private functions. Club Services Major Daily Newspapers, Fox Sports, Sky Channel, Eftpos Facilities (including cashout facility), Major Credit Cards are accepted. Private Functions The Club is available for public hire seven days a week by prior arrangement (excluding game days). Club facilities are suitable for corporate events such as business breakfasts, training seminars, trade-shows and corporate social functions. Club facilities are also suitable for private social functions, for example 21st birthday parties, wedding receptions and family celebrations. Game Days The majority of Members' Reserved Seating is accessed though the glass doors located on the southern side of the Openers Bar. We advise all guests that, even through the Club's seating is shaded after noon, there is still a high level of glare from the ground. It is strongly advisable that hats and sunscreen be worn when seated in the outside areas. But please - no headwear is permitted inside the Club. Hats, sunscreen, and, in inclement weather, rain ponchos, are available for purchase from Club Reception. For ease of access and service "Boundary Bars" are available within the Club's Reserved Seating area immediately in front of the Club. The reservation of seats in the Main Viewing Room for friends who have not arrrived at the Club is strictly forbidden and staff are authorised to remove any items used to "reserve" space for people who are not present. The spirit of fair play is essential as amenities are to be shared for the benefit of all Members and their guests. Items removed will be recoverable from the Club Reception Desk. Lost Property All lost property must be handed to a Club staff member and may be collected from Club Reception.
